The Kilborn Room.
In 1861, a map of Newboro showed a building on the site now occupied by Newboro House. This was likely the wood-frame house built by Horace Kilborn. Kilborn’s structures later became the kitchen and outbuildings to the brick house built in the 1880s. The wood-frame portion of the house was demolished in the 1990s and replaced with the current modern kitchen and owners’ living quarters.
