 Breakfast at Newboro House starts
with a glass of juice and a delectable dish of fresh or fresh-cooked
fruit. Yoghurt and our signature granola are always available on the
side. Light and tasty muffins, scones, cinnamon buns, or biscuits
then arrive warm from the oven for savouring with your morning coffee
or tea. Before too long, the main dish follows — perhaps
a tasty frittata, a silky quiche, or our special baked
Cointreau-flavoured French toast. We guarantee that you'll leave well
fortified for your day of outdoor recreation or sightseeing.

Fresh Ingredients and Service on
Your Schedule
Ann
believes in using simple, fresh ingredients to prepare homey
dishes full of natural flavour. All of her baked goods are made
at home by hand and all contain at least 25% (and often up to 80% or
more) whole-grain flours, including wheat, rye, corn, barley, flax,
and quinoa. Other ingredients include fresh and fresh-frozen fruits
and vegetables (from local growers whenever possible); local maple
syrup; omega-3 eggs; heart-healthy vegetable oils; pure butter, milk,
and cream; trans-fat-free margarine; and quality coffee and
teas — regular, herbal, or decaffeinated, your choice.
When we greet you on arrival, we always spend a little time
asking about your preferences and dislikes and about any allergies
so that we can tailor our breakfast service to your needs. We can
easily accommodate vegetarian, celiac, and Atkins diets. If you have other
special dietary needs, please tell us at the time of booking so that
we can plan appropriately.
We also try to fit the timing of breakfast to your schedule.
We’ll serve our regular full breakfast at any time you choose
between 07:00 and 10:00. If you need a particularly early getaway,
let us know, and we’ll leave the coffee pot on a timer,
muffins on the table, and juice and yoghurt in the mini-fridge so
that you can help yourself.

Trade Breakfast for Lunch
If you prefer to have just a cup of coffee or tea
before heading out for morning fishing or an early golf round,
we’d be pleased to trade our full breakfast for a light lunch
of a sandwich on our home-baked bread, accompanied by a bowl of
freshly made soup or salad. Just let us know at the time of booking
if you would like to make this trade.

Packed Lunches to Go
For a reasonable additional charge, we’ll happily
provide you with a packed hiker’s lunch (sandwich, fruit, trail
mix, beverage) or a more substantial picnic feast (entrée, one
or more salads, homebaked bread, dessert, beverage). Please give us
at least 72 hours’ notice to make the necessary preparations.
Pricing varies.
