Our microfibre pillows and blankets are all feather-light, warm, and non-allergenic. Complimentary shawl- collar robes are also provided for guest use. A ceiling fan and a clock-radio/CD player with dual alarm are available in each room. Hairdryers are available in the Gallagher Room and in the main second-floor bathroom. The guest sitting room (left) holds a television with satellite hook-up, a selection of games and puzzles, and an eclectic library of fiction and nonfiction books. In the breakfast room, a microwave oven and mini-fridge are available for guest use. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the Newboro House gardens and grounds. Return to top Deposit and Cancellation Policies A valid credit card number is required to hold your reservation. Cancellations are accepted at any time, but for each room cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice (that is, after 16h00 three days before the anticipated day of arrival), the full room rate (and any costs already incurred for reserved meals other than breakfast) may be charged to the credit card used to secure the booking. The room cancellation penalty is charged only if we have turned away other guests for the night in question and cannot subsequently rent the cancelled rooms. Return to top A Word About Reservations and Same-Day Availability Please note that Newboro House operates strictly on a reservation basis. We do not accept same-day drop-in guests. Reservations well in advance are strongly recommended for summer weekends and for social events such as weddings and family reunions. The limited number of rooms throughout the Westport area tend to fill very quickly for such dates. For energy conservation reasons, the unoccupied B&B guest areas are, in off- season – that is, from the Tuesday after (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend through the Victoria Day weekend in May – heated only enough to keep the pipes from freezing. Because of the time it takes to bring the house and its furnishings to a comfortable temperature for guest occupancy, we cannot accommodate anyone in the off-season with less than 48 hours’ notice.
